Join us in learning the Hand Building Techniques she uses to create your own functional, beautiful mug.
This class is perfect for first-time potters. You will learn the basics of making a mug from a flat piece of clay. We will also explore texture as it pertains to form and function.
There will be a step-by-step demonstration on mug construction with tips and inspiration for decoration, followed by the opportunity to create two of your own, one-of-a-kind ceramics.
Each attendee will receive a Nest store coupon exclusive to this event.
Materials:
All materials will be provided but students are encouraged to bring in small found objects that can be pressed into the clay to create texture. All materials are washable, but students should wear clothes they don't mind getting dusty.
Kiln Firing Fee: Want to keep your piece forever? For an additional $5 per piece (cash only please!), We will fire your mug in her electric kiln, making it food safe and dishwasher safe. Firing can take up to 4 weeks.
For your safety, this class will be limited to 6 attendees to maintain proper social distancing.
Masks must also be worn for the duration of the class.
Thank you for your cooperation.
