Raffaela Pierro Vergata
Founder of Sunken Orchard Ceramics

Although Raffaela has a B.A. in production management from Marymount Manhattan College and has worked as a stage manager for several years, pottery is what she enjoys the most. She dabbled in summer courses and electives in college but didn’t get serious until 2013 at the 92Y when she was introduced to alternative firing styles. In 2016 she attended the Haystack Mountain School of Craft, in Maine and hopes to return again. Now Raffaela works as a studio manager at La Mano Pottery in Manhattan and has been developing her own work at her studio that she hopes you all enjoy.
